The Japanese Political Science Association is pleased to announce a Call for Applications for presenters to be dispatched by JPSA to Korean Political Science Association Annual Conference (Winter), which will be held from December 5-6, 2025, at Seoul National University. The presentations will be held in a panel on the morning of Saturday, December 6.
Number of Awards: Approx. 2 JPSA members.
Funding Details:
1) For both presenters, accommodation expenses during the conference (two nights) will be paid by KPSA. They will stay at Hoam Faculty House (on the Seoul National University campus).
2) For one of the presenters, JPSA will pay up to 50,000 yen to cover air ticket. If selected, one will be asked to provide air ticket receipt and bank account information (through JPSA’s designated form). The other presenter will need to purchase air ticket on one’s own.
Designated Field of Research: Any (the panel is for a general session).
Language of Presentation: English
*Selected presenters are expected to attend the reception on the first day of the conference (KPSA covers the fee).
Application Method: Please submit English title and abstract (200-300 words) of the presentation via email, with the subject line “日本政治学会・韓国政治学会報告応募” by Monday, November 10, to the contact listed at the bottom of this call. The selected presenters will be decided shortly after the application deadline.
The expected length of the conference paper is approximately 5–10 pages (A4 size), although submission is not mandatory. If not submitting a paper, you will be asked to submit presentation slides. Due date for paper/slides will be Friday, November 21.
